V. Fedenko, PhD, MD, Prof.

Doctor of Medicine, Professor of Surgery. Basic specialty of Dr. Fedenko is general surgery. Dr. Fedenko has over 27 years of surgical experience and has been practicing the art of endoscopic surgery since 1991.

In 1997 he studied bariatric surgery (gastric banding) in Urban Krankenhaus Chirurgischen Klinik, Berlin, Germany; and in 1998 endoscopic surgery of the stomach in the Department of Surgery, National University Hospital, Singapore. In 2004 Dr. Fedenko studied laparoscopic gastric bypass in St.Agnes Healthcare, Baltimore, USA. In addition to general surgery, Dr. Fedenko has certificates in some associate specialties, such as oncology and intraluminal flexible endoscopy. For many years Dr. Fedenko is a member of editorial board of Russian journal ”Endoscopic Surgery”.

Dr. Fedenko is a member of IFSO (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders). In 2008 Prof. Fedenko represented Russian Federation in the General Consulate of IFSO. Bariatric experience of Dr. Fedenko in collaboration with Dr. Evdoshenko embraces more than 2000 cases in a wide range of laparoscopic procedures, including gastric bypass, gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy, magenstrasse, gastric plication surgery.

V. Evdoshenko, PhD, MD

In 1993 graduated from medical school of Moscow University of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed his residency program in general surgery. His PhD thesis in surgery was devoted to laparoscopic surgery of acute cholecystitis.

In 1999 he had training course in specialized medical equipment in training center of Tyco Healthcare in Norwalk, USA. In 2000 he studied bariatric surgery (laparoscopic gastric banding) in Germany, invited by Dr. Pier. In 2001 studied endosurgical equipment and instrumentation in the training center of MGB Endoskopische, Berlin, Germany. In 2003 he finished special training course in using endosurgical stapling devices by Tyco Healthcare, Elancure, France (diploma). In 2004 finished the training course in suturing material by Tyco Healthcare, Elancure, France (diploma).

In 2004 Dr. Evdoshenko studied bariatric surgery (laparoscopic gastric bypass) in St.Agnes Healthcare, Baltimore, USA. Along with general surgery, Dr. Evdoshenko has certificates in some associate specialties, such as intraluminal endoscopy and gastroenterology. Dr. Evdoshenko has authored a number of scientific publications in Russian and international medical journals. In 2008 Dr. Edvoshenko prepared and successfully defended his doctoral thesis ”Laparoscopic surgery for morbid obesity” in Vishnevsky Surgery Research Center by Russian Academy of Medical Scienses, Moscow.
