- Complete blood count (CBC)
- Urinalysis
- Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP), including:
- Glucose
- Calcium
- Albumin
- Total Protein
- Sodium
- Potassium
- CO2 (carbon dioxide, bicarbonate)
- Chloride
- BUN (blood urea nitrogen)
- Creatinine
- ALP (alkaline phosphatase)
- ALT (alanine amino transferase, also called SGPT)
- AST (aspartate amino transferase, also called SGOT)
- Bilirubin
- Coagulation factors, including:
- Whole blood clotting time
- Prothrombin Time (PT)
- Hepatitis B
- Hepatitis C
- HIV
- ABO Grouping and Rh Typing
- EKG
- Upper GI endoscopy (or a stomach X-ray study)
- Ultrasound study of the upper abdomen
- X-ray of the chest
Remember that test results are only valid for 1 month (except chest x-ray, which remains so for 6 months). Also, if you have any serious chronic medical problems, please bring all related medical documentation.
